DIS*CONNECT -- This option complements the CONNECT option.  This will remove the spectrum from further input from the data stream. The spectrum will continue to exist.
‘Spectrum to disconnect?’ asks you for the name of the spectrum to disconnect.

DUMP-- This command will write all previously defined spectra out to a series of files, each file corresponds to one spectrum. The file type will start at .001 and will be incremented each time a spectrum is written out.
‘Dump file name?’ asks you for the file name to use. (Do not give an extension) SMAUG will assign .001, .002 etc as extensions to the spectra file names.

DUMPL*OAD-- This will load a series of spectrum data files back into the program. The files will have the same setup as written by the DUMP command.
‘Load file name? ‘ asks you for the file name to use. (No extension).  This option will by default attempt to load the spectrum into I*2 words. If you wish to have the program load the spectrum into other than 1*2 words, type a / after the file name and a value indicating how many bytes per word you wish the program to use. The valid values are 1=Byte 2=I*2 words, and 4=I*4 words.

Note : the spectra read back in are not automatically connected to the data stream (see DUMPLOAD+).

DUMPLOAD+-- This will act as DUMPLOAD does but has the additional feature that it will do an automatic CONNECT command to each spectrum as they are loaded into the program.
