Welcome to the JINA Reaclib Database
This is a database for nuclear reaction rates to be used in astrophysical model calculations. To get help please check the help sidebar on the right hand side of the page or the help menu on the left hand side of the page.
Database: Contains multiple versions of each rate with one recommended rate. It is continuously updated as documented on the status/discussion page.
Status: To view and discuss ongoing and future updates click status/discussion on the left hand side.
Library: Set of rates selected from the database. Public reaclib releases are available as libraries and represent snapshots of the database on a particular date. Users can also define their own libraries and make them public to document the rates they used.
Account: You are not required to have an account to browse and download data. You will only need an account to create and manage your own libraries. To create your own account please click sign up.
Contact: For further information, direct your inquiries to reaclib at nscl.msu.edu.
- Each library detail page now shows the count of rates for each label that are in that library.
- The final nuclide is no longer needed to link to a particular rate. For example, the link for c12(a,n)o15 was originally http://www.nscl.msu.edu/~nero/db/c12(a,n)o15/ now it can be accessed with http://www.nscl.msu.edu/~nero/db/c12(a,n)/. Please note that both of these links will work.
- We improved the speed of the control file based search (http://www.nscl.msu.edu/~nero/db/filesearch.php).
- Several small bug fixes.
- Added contact page. The contact information for the various members associated with this project can now be found at: http://www.nscl.msu.edu/~nero/db/contact.php
- Other libraries can now be added to your current library. This allows you to add old libraries to your current library.
- Removed weak rates from p,g searches.
- Updated base help page with more information.
- Added a new interface to the download library page that make is easier to download libraries.
- Added chart to compare the versions of a rate.
- Added permanent links to each rate. As an example, n + he3 -> p + t can be accessed at http://www.nscl.msu.edu/~nero/db/he3(n,p)t/.
- Added chapter 11 which allows for rates of the type num1 -> num2 + num3 + num4 + num5.
- Improved the layout of the popular rates page to allow for different categories.
- Improved the speed of the reaclib file generation.
- Changed Nuclide Chart so it now displays the magic numbers with a green background.
- Changed the Nuclide Charts so the colors shift from yellow to red instead of dark green to light green. This was changed because it was hard to see the data file information and the M=Z line on the green background.
- XML file download: There is now an option to download an XML file of search results. This button can be found at the bottom of the results page.
- There is now a listing of the labels that are in a library when you view the information about the library.
- The Nuclide Chart now graphs the chapter 1, 2, and 3 rates.
- The search options now allow for the reverse rates to be excluded from a search.
- There are now more options on the Nuclide Chart Page including the label, chapter, and library.
- Added slight optimization code.
- Nuclide Charts: You can now generate a Nuclide Chart of your search results using the link at the bottom of the results page. You can also view the charts for the various reaction types from the "Nuclide Charts" in the left hand sidebar.
- The "Status/Discussion" board now has a listing of the last ten entries from the discussion board. This can be viewed through the "Status/Discussion" link on the right.
- A new option on the search page is to search for JUST the weak rates that are currently in the database.
- There have been several bug fixes that should improve performance.
