WaMPS: Women and Minorities in the Physical Sciences

WaMPS is a new student group at Michigan State University. Our purpose is to support and to promote women and minorities in the physical sciences. Currently, we serve as a support group for such graduate students through informal discussions, peer mentoring, and networking. If you're interested, join us at our next social or send an email to our web master

We have a bi-monthly social with coffee, tea, and cookies. When we can arrange lunch with a female or minority speaker, we hold informal discussions not only on their research but also on career challenges. Click on the link above for the calendar of events.

We'd like to acknowledge the support of the Physics and Astronomy Department and the National Superconducting Cyclotron Laboratory. In particular, we thank our faculty sponsor, Professor Filomena Nunes.
