Science Theatre at MSU

Science Theatre is an outreach organization run by Michigan State University student volunteers with heavy involvement of students from the NSCL. They bring entertaining science demonstrations to the general public to spark their interest in science. Their performances demonstrate basic scientific concepts and inspire audience members to develop an appreciation for science in their everyday lives.

What you see: Science Theatre performances present self-contained stage shows and coordinated “hands-on” demonstrations with a high level of interaction between audience and presenters. Science Theatre’s performances group demonstrations uniquely into thematic modules. For example, the stage presentations are a grouping of carefully chosen experiments which, when presented together, impress upon the audience a single unifying concept or answer a specific question such as “what is pressure?”
