Effective Field Theories for Weakly-bound Systems

I will discuss the calculation of nuclear properties using effective field theories (EFTs). Specifically, I will consider an EFT that is tailored to weakly-bound systems such as light nuclei and Halo nuclei. I will present recent results for halo nuclei and discuss a strategy for the extraction of nucleon-nucleus scattering parameters from different experimental observables.
