Located on the campus of Michigan State University, NSCL is the largest university-based nuclear science facility in the United States. The laboratory employs 300 faculty, staff and students and has an annual budget of more than $20 million. Operated as a national user facility by the U.S. National Science Foundation, the NSCL community of experimenters includes 700 researchers from 100 institutions in 35 countries.
