Average number of neutrons participating in the nuclear halo
as predicted by HFB calculations for the chromium isotopes
(Z = 24). It is comparable in absolute value to what is found in
light nuclei although more orbitals participate in the present
case. At the ISF, interaction cross sections should be experimentally
accessible up to 78Cr.
