Welcome Experimenters
NSCL solicits proposals for experiments about every six to eight months. The external Program Advisory Committee evaluates the proposals. Proposals are currently being accepted until 5:00 pm on Monday, November 30, 2009 (Eastern Time) for consideration at the 34th meeting of the NSCL Program Advisory Committee on January 19-20, 2010. If you would like to be notified of calls for proposals or wish to submit a proposal, please join our user list.
Once your experiment has been approved, you are contacted and your experiment is scheduled. Generally, the beam schedule is established three months in advance. Prior to scheduling, it is important that you communicate to us your needs and expectations for the experiment.
We strive to provide excellent support for every aspect of your experiment — prior to, during, and following your work at our facility. We invite you to contact Raman Anantaraman, Assistant Director of User Relations, with any questions or requests that you might have.
