A funny thing happened on the way to the lab

This morning, I checked my mailbox and found a CD in there. It turns out to be the abstract list from the Nuclear Structure 2008 conference, but I, for a moment, actually thought it was a CD of FRIB-related songs. Wouldn't that have been cool?

It's weird not being a construction victim--my usual morning entrance to the building has been blocked for a while with fencing and construction paraphernalia, but this construction is directly benefiting the place where I work, so I can't really complain. This is an odd feeling, as every time I start to grumble about the inconvenience, I remember that this inconvenience is to my benefit. It short-circuits my complaining mechanism just when said mechanism is getting revved up to deliver a classic diatribe about construction. This can't be healthy for my complaining machinery.
