Wonders Never Cease

Many may know that my wife Loraine and I are expecting our first child in mid-March. That puts her at around 21 weeks right now and at about 20 weeks, most doctors like mom and baby to have an ultrasound to check how things are going. Well, Loraine and I were treated to this very special glimpse of our son, Samuel Hitt, this past Wednesday! Have a look!

Years ago as an undergraduate, I took a semester physics course on medical imaging devices and we covered the principles of ultrasound and image construction. If I had it all to do over again, I think I would have gone into medical physics. This machine was simply amazing and the pictures it gave us of Sam were unbelievable. I sat there speechless for most of the appointment. I can't wait to meet the little guy and introduce you all to him!
